Mother IV | Swan Teacup Series
'Mother IV,' the fourth and final piece in the swan teacup series
This sculpture was made from hand sculpting and painting the mother swan and each tiny cygnet, then attaching down feathers (collected from my parrot, Lily's, naturally molted feathers) for that endearing baby fluff. The waterlilies and pads are hand crafted from paper, paint and wire. Epoxy resin was used in multiple painstaking layers as the lake "water" inside this vintage teacup with real soil at the base. This teacup sculpture will come with a large, hand-blown glass dome (see 9th photo).
Feel free to let me know if you are interested in me sending you photos of the other swan teacup sculptures in this series!
