A recently hatched barn owl, named Rosehip, has hopped out of her little nest from a low tree hollow to take a first glimpse out into the world through the whispering roses.

The fuzzy fur is created with downy feathers,
courtesy of my Lily's, my parrot, molting
Crafted paper and wire dog rose brambles
Real preserved moss, lichen and twigs
atop a clay base
